Title: Fundamental Science is the Key to Technological Advancement

Abstract: Understanding how the brain works is one of the fundamental challenges in Science today. Advancing our knowledge in this regard will help us to solve various key problems in Engineering and Medicine. In order to address these key problems, one needs to look at the brain in three different conditions; 1) developing brain 2) normal brain  3) disorder brain. Here, I will demonstrate an interesting example of merging science & Technology with serving the humanity. We have an unique opportunity to restore sight to visually impaired child/adults and then to address many fundamental questions in medical sciences. Finally I will explain, how the fundamental science inspire the development of intelligent technology for future applications.
